Mrs Findlay,staff and pupils of Onthank Primary wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thank you to everyone who donated to Children In Need -we raised the enormous sum of £967. Well done- a new Onthank record!



Mrs A Wright has been appointed Head Teacher of Onthank Primary. She will take up her post in the New Year starting on Monday 8 January 2018. We welcome Mrs Wright to Onthank.

Congratulations to the Athletics Team- they won the east Ayrshire Sportshall Athletics Final . Well done!


Congratulations to our football team- they played very well in the final of the Ayrshire Cup and won They beat Gargieston 2-1.

All of us are very proud of the team. Thank you to Mr Boyd for his super coaching skills and thanks to all parents,friends and pupils who came along to support.


We have a new fish tank outside Mrs Findlay's room. Everyone loves watching the fish.

P5,6 and 7 all participated in Engineer Day during STEM Fortnight.

Thank you to our engineers, George Burns and Ken Mollison for their

enthusiasm and expertise on the day! Pupils from P7 competed in our Primary Engineer Challenge against other schools in EA.

 One of our models was chosen as the runner up and will now compete in the Glasgow heat later this month.

Our STEM Chocolate Factory challenge came to a conclusion with our guest panellist and Dragon's Den style presentations. many thanks to our panel: Councillor McKay, engineer John Cockburn, Parent Council Chair Scott Thomson and HT Mrs McCartney.

We're glad to say that after all our hard work the chocolate factory could be saved! Well done to all involved.


    Thank you to all parents who came into school to speak to the children about STEM in the Real World. It was

a very successful event as part of our STEM Fortnight.

Santa came to Onthank Primary

We wore Christmas Jumpers and raised money for Save The Children. We raised £430- thank you everyone.
